Second seed and two-time Miami finalist Jannik Sinner will continue his second-round match against Italian qualifier Andrea Vavassori not before 12:00 p.m. on Stadium Court. Sinner was leading 3-2 when rain suspended play on Friday.
Later on Saturday, Indian Wells champion Carlos Alcaraz will begin his Miami campaign against Spaniard Roberto Carballes Baena not before 7:00 p.m. on Stadium Court. Alcaraz is aiming to become the eighth man to win the ‘Sunshine Double’ and the first since Roger Federer in 2017.
Defending champion Daniil Medvedev, who is chasing his first title of 2024, faces Marton Fucsovics third on Grandstand, with Stefanos Tsitsipas on second against Canadian Denis Shapovalov. Fourth seed Alexander Zverev is fifth on Grandstand against Felix Auger-Aliassime. The German leads Auger-Aliassime 5-2 in the pair’s Lexus ATP Head2Head series.
Two-time champion Andy Murray resumes his second-round match against Tomas Martin Etcheverry second on Butch Buchholz. The Scot is locked at 3-3 with the Argentine in the first set. #NextGenATP Spaniard Martin Landaluce notched his maiden tour-level win on Thursday in Miami. He will try to gain his second victory when he plays Ben Shelton fifth on Butch Buchholz.
