Novak Djokovic broke news Wednesday evening ahead of the start of Roland Garros.
The 101-time tour-level titlist revealed on social media that longtime friend and fellow Serbian Viktor Troicki has joined his coaching team.
"Welcome my friend, teammate and now coach… Viktor Troicki 🇷🇸," Djokovic wrote on Instagram.
The 38-year-old has known Troicki, just one year his elder, since they were juniors. They played doubles together throughout the years and helped Serbia to ATP Cup glory in 2020.
Djokovic won the pair's Lexus ATP Head2Head series 13-1, with Troicki's victory coming in their first tour-level meeting in 2007 in Umag.
Djokovic will pursue his 25th major trophy in Paris and his first Slam title since the 2023 US Open. The No. 4 player in the PIF ATP Rankings made the final at this year's Australian Open.
