Fellow ATP No. 1 Club members, WTA icons among audience in Newport

Roger Federer was inducted into the International Tennis Hall of Fame on Saturday evening in Newport. By ATP Staff

A notable lineup of stars from the world of tennis and beyond gathered in Newport on Saturday to witness Roger Federer’s induction into the International Tennis Hall of Fame.

An ATP Tour icon whose on-court achievements and off-court aura transcended tennis across his glittering career, Federer delivered an emotional acceptance speech for his induction in Rhode Island. Among those in the audience were seven of the Swiss' fellow former World No. 1s — his idol Stefan Edberg, John McEnroe, Andy Roddick, Marat Safin, Lleyton Hewitt, Jim Courier and Mats Wilander — as well as WTA legends Billie Jean King and Martina Navratilova.
