The grass swing continues this week on the ATP Tour with the Terra Wortmann Open in Halle and the HSBC Championships at The Queen’s Club in London.

Roland Garros champion Alexander Zverev, World No. 4 Felix Auger-Aliassime, Daniil Medvedev and Americans Ben Shelton and Taylor Fritz headline the field at the ATP 500 event in Germany. Flavio Cobolli also plays for the first time since reaching the final in Paris.

FIVE THINGS TO WATCH IN HALLE
1) Zverev arrives on a high: The German returns to home soil off the back of winning his first major title at Roland Garros. The 29-year-old is the top seed in Halle and holds a 21-9 tournament record, according to the Infosys ATP Win/Loss Index, highlighted by final runs in 2016 and 2017. The home favourite will begin his tournament against Vit Kopriva.

2) Felix & Medvedev chasing success: Auger-Aliassime and Medvedev continue their grass-court seasons in Halle. Auger-Aliassime suffered a quarter-final lost to eventual champion Kamil Majchrzak in 's-Hertogenbosch last week, with Medvedev also falling to the Pole in the semi-final stage of the ATP 250. Auger-Aliassime opens against Nuno Borges, while Medvedev plays Tomas Martin Etcheverry in his first match in Halle.

3) Americans Shelton & Fritz in action: Shelton and Fritz made a good start to their grass-court season in Stuttgart, where they met in the ATP 250 final. Shelton defeated Fritz in three sets to claim his first grass-court title on the ATP Tour. For Fritz, it was his second final of the season after Dallas, where he also fell to Shelton. In Halle, third-seeded Shelton will begin against wild card Nick Kyrgios, while fifth-seeded Fritz will take on Zizou Bergs.

4) Cobolli back in action: Cobolli returns to court for the first time since he reached his first major final at Roland Garros. The Italian lost in five sets to Zverev but cracked the Top 10 for the first time off the back of his breakthrough run. The 24-year-old advanced to the last eight in Halle last season and will begin his attempt to advance even deeper in the draw against former Top 10 player Frances Tiafoe.

5) Fonseca returns: The 19-year-old Brazilian Joao Fonseca is back on the grass for the first time this year in Halle. Fonseca, who defeated Novak Djokovic en route to the quarter-finals at Roland Garros, went 3-3 on grass in 2025. The teen opens against Yannick Hanfmann with top seed Zverev potentially looming in the second round.

FIVE THINGS TO WATCH IN LONDON

1) De Minaur headlines Queen’s Club: Fresh off a quick start to the grass-court season in 's-Hertogenbosch, where he reached the final, De Minaur is the top seed at the HSBC Championships. The Australian made the final at the ATP 500 event in 2023, falling to Carlos Alcaraz. De Minaur begins the tournament against Gabriel Diallo, carrying a 2-0 Lexus ATP Head2Head advantage into their encounter.

2) Surging stars Mensik & Jodar compete: Mensik, 20, and Jodar, 19, both enjoyed standout runs at Roland Garros. Mensik advanced to the semi-finals, while Jodar reached the last eight. Now both will aim to make a smooth transition to grass. Mensik defeated home favourite Cameron Norrie at The Queen’s Club last season, while Jodar is making his debut. This is Jodar's first tour-level event on grass.

3) Lehecka & Norrie fond memories: Second seed Jiri Lehecka and home favourite Cameron Norrie are former finalists in London. Lehecka advanced to the title match in 2025, losing to Carlos Alcaraz, while Norrie fell to Matteo Berrettini in 2021. Both will hope to go one step further this week.

4) Former champions Paul/Cilic in action: Two men who have lifted the trophy at the grass-court ATP 500 event are Tommy Paul and Marin Cilic. Paul won in 2024, while Cilic triumphed in 2012 and 2018. Eight-seeded Paul will open against a qualifier or lucky loser, while Cilic will face Ugo Humbert in the first round.

5) Heliovaara/Patten headline doubles field: The top seeds in the doubles draw are Harri Heliovaara and Henry Patten, who just made the Roland Garros final. They are the joint-No. 1 players in the PIF ATP Doubles Rankings. The defending champions are second seeds Julian Cash and Lloyd Glasspool.
