South Korean Soonwoo Kwon and Argentine Facundo Diaz Acosta each captured their third ATP Challenger title of the season Sunday, joining Pavel Kotov as the only players to achieve the feat in 2026.
Kwon captured his second consecutive Challenger trophy at the Wuxi Open while Diaz Acosta won the Abruzzo Open Francavilla al Mare in Italy.
The former World No. 52 Kwon, who is currently completing 18 months of military service, defeated China's Buyunchaokete 6-2, 7-6(2) in the final. Kwon, 28, also triumphed at the Gwangju Open in April and the NovaWorld Phan Thiet Challenger 1 in January.
“I’m really happy to win this title,” said Kwon, who boasts a 17-3 season record at ATP Challenger level. “It hasn’t been easy to travel overseas while serving in the military, so I’m very thankful to the Korea Armed Forces Athletic Corps for their support and consideration, which made it possible for me to compete again. Now that my rankings for Wimbledon and the US Open are secured, I’ll prepare well and do my best to show even better performances in the upcoming tournaments.”

Hemery returns to Brazzaville, wins title after marathon week
Frenchman Calvin Hemery needed a deciding set in four of his five matches en route to winning the Brazzaville Challenger in the Republic of Congo. Seeded fifth, Hemery ousted top seed and countryman Florent Bax 7-5, 3-6, 7-6(2) in the championship match to go one step further than last year’s runner-up finish in Brazzaville. It marks Hemery’s second Challenger title and first since 2017.
