Rain has cancelled play for the remainder of Wednesday at the Rolex Monte-Carlo Masters, where Holger Rune and Grigor Dimitrov both have a one-set advantage in their respective matches.
Seventh seed Rune will have to wait until Thursday to try and put the finishing touches on India’s Sumit Nagal, whom the Dane leads 6-3, 2-1 40/Ad. Dimitrov, who was a finalist at the ATP Masters 1000 event in Miami, is up 6-4, 2-1 against Miomir Kecmanovic.
The winner between Rune and Nagal will then face the winner of Dimitrov and Kecmanovic as they pull double duty on Thursday.
Marcelo Melo and Alexander Zverev lead Francisco Cerundolo and Tomas Martin Etcheverry 2-1 in the only other match that was halted on Wednesday’s card.
