Harri Heliovaara and Henry Patten reached their first clay-court ATP Masters 1000 quarter-final as a team on Thursday when they advanced at the Rolex Monte-Carlo Masters.

The second seeds overcame Brits Joe Salisbury and Neal Skupski 6-3, 6-3 to advance in their Principality opener after 73 minutes. In a dominant performance, Heliovaara and Patten did not face a break point, according to Infosys ATP Stats.

The Finn-British team arrived in Monte-Carlo off the back of a semi-final showing in Miami. The Australian Open champions are chasing their second title of the season and will next meet Rafael Matos and Joran Vliegen.

It All Adds Up

Kevin Krawietz and Tim Puetz sealed victory against Hugo Nys and Edouard Roger-Vasselin on their sixth match point. In a close clash, the fourth seeds remained patient in the Match Tie-break to triumph 6-3, 6-7(4), 14-12.

The Germans defeated Jamie Murray and Rajeev Ram in three sets in a tight first-round win and backed that up by holding their nerve to reach their fifth tour-level quarter-final of the season. The 2024 Nitto ATP Finals champions will next face seventh seeds Julian Cash and Lloyd Glasspool.
