Lorenzo Musetti has surged to a career high in the PIF ATP Rankings with his run to a maiden ATP Masters 1000 final at the Rolex Monte-Carlo Masters.
The Italian has climbed to No. 11 while the champion in the Principality, Carlos Alcaraz, has surpassed Alexander Zverev to reclaim his spot as the No. 2 player following a sixth Masters 1000 title. ATPTour.com looks at the movers in the PIF ATP Rankings as of Monday, 14 April.
No. 11 Lorenzo Musetti, +5 (Career High)
The 23-year-old Musetti was forced to rally in four of his five victories in Monte-Carlo to reach his maiden Masters 1000 final, and has since jumped five spots to a career-high No. 11. Musetti produced a statement comeback win over three-time champion Stefanos Tsitsipas in the quarter-finals and edged Alex de Minaur in a nail-biting semi-final before he fell to Alcaraz in three sets.
No. 2 Carlos Alcaraz, +1
With his sixth Masters 1000 title and first in Monte-Carlo, the 21-year-old Spaniard leapfrogged Zverev and reclaimed his spot as the No. 2 player. Alcaraz was forced to come from behind in three of his five wins, including a gutsy triumph over Arthur Fils, in which he trailed 1-3 in the deciding set.
No. 7 Alex de Minaur, +3
De Minaur rose three spots to No. 7, just one shy of his career-high PIF ATP Ranking, after his run to his first clay-court Masters 1000 semi-final. The Australian breezed past ninth seed Daniil Medvedev for the loss of just four games and then served a double bagel to Grigor Dimitrov, the first recorded at the quarter-final stage or later at an ATP Tour event since 2013.
No. 30 Alejandro Davidovich Fokina, +12
With his run to the semi-finals in Monte-Carlo, Alejandro Davidovich Fokina continued his standout start to the season, jumping 12 spots to No. 30. The Spaniard, who has reached two ATP Tour finals this year, in Delray Beach and Acapulco, improved to 18-9 in 2025, matching the total number of wins he recorded during the 2024 season.
No. 68 Daniel Altmaier, +16
With a run to the third round in Monte-Carlo, Daniel Altmaier has risen 16 places to No. 68. The German qualifier notched eye-catching wins over 16th seed Felix Auger-Aliassime and Richard Gasquet before falling to the eventual champion Alcaraz.
