Rafael Nadal and Alexander Zverev will meet in their highly anticipated first-round Roland Garros clash Monday afternoon on Court Philippe-Chatrier. They are scheduled for third on the clay-court major’s No. 1 court following two women’s singles matches.
The pair’s most recent Lexus ATP Head2Head match also came on the same court in the 2022 Roland Garros semi-finals. Zverev suffered a devastating ankle injury during the match and retired.

In the night session on Court Philippe-Chatrier, home favourite Gael Monfils will take on Brazilian Thiago Seyboth Wild, who upset Daniil Medvedev in the first round in Paris last year.
Second seed Jannik Sinner, who is in pole position to ascend to World No. 1 in the PIF ATP Rankings after the tournament, begins his run at 11 a.m. on Court Suzanne-Lenglen. The Italian plays American Christopher Eubanks.
Directly following that match, ninth seed and 2021 finalist Stefanos Tsitsipas will face Hungarian Marton Fucsovics.
In the second match on Court Simonne-Mathieu, 29th seed Arthur Fils will try to thrill his home crowd against Matteo Arnaldi. Fifth seed Daniil Medvedev will take on Dominik Koepfer in the last match on that court.
