Rain has cancelled play on the outside courts Wednesday at Roland Garros. Play continues under the roofs on Court Philippe-Chatrier and Court Suzanne-Lenglen.

The action began on time at the clay-court major before play was suspended at 11:57 a.m. local time. Eighth seed Hubert Hurkacz was competing against Brandon Nakashima on Court Simonne-Mathieu, while Ben Shelton was in first-set action against Kei Nishikori on Court 7 when the rain started to fall.

Sebastian Korda’s second-round clash with Soonwoo Kwon was suspended in the first set as well as Lorenzo Sonego’s match against Zhang Zhizhen. All doubles matches have been cancelled.

On Court Philippe-Chatrier, Carlos Alcaraz clawed past Jesper de Jong in four tough sets (Read full Alcaraz report).

 

Jannik Sinner will take on Richard Gasquet in the night session.

Stefanos Tsitsipas defeated Daniel Altmaier in a tough test on Court Suzanne-Lenglen. Andrey Rublev is facing Pedro Martinez on the same court.
