
Roland Garros qualifying action continued with the conclusion of the first round Tuesday, with players trying to earn their way into the main draw of the clay-court major.
Top seed and former No. 12 in the PIF ATP Rankings Borna Coric was stopped short of a 10th Roland Garros main-draw appearance after Frenchman Titouan Droguet saved two match points to beat him 5-7, 7-6(9), 6-2. Fourth seed Tseng Chun-Hsin, sixth seed Billy Harris and ninth seed Christopher Eubanks also bowed out in the first round, while eighth seed Marin Cilic advanced in straight sets.
