The final eight players booked their spots in the main draw of Roland Garros on Friday, including Emilio Nava and Frenchmen Luka Pavlovic, Pierre-Hugues Herbert and Kyrian Jacquet.
The No. 97 player in the PIF ATP Rankings Nava overcame Spaniard Pedro Martinez 6-3, 6-3 and will now compete in the main draw in Paris for the third time. The American did not drop a set in his three qualifying wins.
Frenchman Pavlovic defeated #NextGenATP star Darwin Blanch 6-2, 6-4 and will make his Roland Garros main draw debut. The World No. 240 was competing in qualifying at the major for the second consecutive year.
Herbert clawed past Leandro Riedi 6-4, 6-7(8), 6-3. The 35-year-old advanced to the third round in 2018 and the second round last year and also lifted the doubles trophy in 2018 and 2021 with Nicolas Mahut. Countryman Jacquet will make his second main-draw appearance at a major this season. The Frenchman, who lost in the first round at the Australian Open, beat Briton Felix Gill 7-6(5), 6-3.
Spaniard Pablo Llamas Ruiz will make his second consecutive appearance in the main draw in Roland Garros after downing Lithuanian Vilius Gaubas 6-3, 6-1. Hugo Dellien also advanced, beating Roberto Carballes Baena 6-3, 3-6, 6-1. The Bolivian will make his sixth main draw appearance at the clay-court major.
Austrian Jurij Rodionov defeated Croatian Borna Gojo 7-5, 6-3, while Roman Safiullin overcame Germany’s Tom Gentzsch 6-3, 6-7(2), 6-4.
