David Goffin, Jesper de Jong, Federico Cina and Daniel Jade were among the players to secure first-round victories in qualifying at Roland Garros on Monday.

Goffin, the former No. 7 player in the PIF ATP Rankings and quarter-finalist at the clay-court major in 2016, opened his qualifying campaign with a commanding 6-3, 6-1 win over Chun-Hsin Tseng. The Belgian wild card, who is seeking his 14th main-draw appearance at Roland Garros, will next face Briton Toby Samuel.

Another wild card to shine on Monday was World No. 1447 Jade, who upset Daniel Evans 6-4, 6-4. The 17-year-old Frenchman, winner of three ITF World Tennis Tour Junior titles in 2026, is chasing his main-draw debut at a Grand Slam tournament.
