Colton Smith wasted little time adjusting after a transatlantic journey from Europe, flying from Roland Garros qualifying to the hard courts of the ATP Challenger event in Little Rock, Arkansas, where he captured the title on Sunday.
The 23-year-old American downed five of his countrymen without dropping a set all week. Smith, a three-time ATP Challenger champion, downed Michael Mmoh 6-2, 6-4 in the UAMS Health Little Rock Open final.
Smith arrived in Arkansas after reaching the second round of qualifying at Roland Garros, where he fell to Jaime Faria, who went on to reach the third round of the clay-court major.
Following his title, the former University of Arizona standout is up 10 places to No. 175 in the PIF ATP Live Rankings. Smith successfully defended his Cleveland Challenger title in February.
Sakellaridis, Neumayer join Smith with two Challenger titles this season
Stefanos Sakellaridis and Lukas Neumayer also claimed their second Challenger titles of 2026. The 21-year-old Sakellaridis triumphed at the Moldova Open after rallying past Cezar Cretu 6-7(1), 6-3, 6-3 in the final.
Sakellaridis won his maiden Challenger crown in New Delhi in February. The Greek is the No. 153 player in the PIF ATP Live Rankings, setting him up for a new career high.
Neumayer, who fell to Faria in Roland Garros qualifying after the Portuguese player beat Smith, won the Internazionali Di Tennis - Citta'Di Vicenza. The 23-year-old had lost his first six Challenger final appearances, but has now won his two most recent championship matches at that level.
The winner of April’s Barletta Challenger, Neumayer beat Jacopo Vasami 6-2, 6-2 in the Vicenza final.
Feldbausch, Hussey earn Top 300 debut
Swiss Kilian Feldbausch and British lefty Giles Hussey are set to crack the Top 300 of the PIF ATP Rankings for the first time after winning ATP Challenger 50 titles.
Feldbausch, 20, earned his first Challenger trophy at the Kosice Open 2026, where he overcame Martin Krumich 6-0, 4-6, 6-4. The 29-year-old Hussey won in Centurion, South Africa, defeating Edward Winter 6-3, 6-3 in the final.
