#NextGenATP Frenchman Moise Kouame will aim to play the US Open main draw for the first time. The 17-year-old, who this year reached the third round of his home major Roland Garros, is in a loaded qualifying draw at Flushing Meadows.
At sixth in the PIF ATP Live Next Gen Race, the teenager Kouame will begin his qualifying campaign against a player well versed in the #NextGenATP pathway: Nishesh Basavareddy, who twice competed at the 20-and-under Next Gen ATP Finals.
Other key names in the qualifying draw are 2019 US Open semi-finalist Grigor Dimitrov and 2014 finalist Kei Nishikori, who will complete his Grand Slam career in New York. Nishikori announced in April that he will retire at the end of the 2026 season.
Joining Kouame as #NextGenATP hopefuls in the field are Joel Schwaerzler, Federico Cina, Diego Dedura, Rei Sakamoto, Nicolai Budkov Kjaer, among others.
