Wimbledon Rain Cancels Rublev, Zverev Matches Wednesday

Wimbledon tournament organisers have announced the cancellation of several matches Wednesday due to rain earlier in the day. Ten second-round matches were initially cancelled before more, including first-round matches, were added to the list later in the day.

Seventh seed Andrey Rublev and 14th seed Lorenzo Musetti were among the players whose matches at The Championships were initially cancelled.

Rublev is set to play Aslan Karatsev, against whom he lost his only previous Lexus ATP Head2Head meeting two years ago in Dubai. Musetti will face Jaume Munar. Matches involving Hubert Hurkacz, the 17th seed, and 23rd seed Alexander Bublik, were also cancelled early on Wednesday.

Later in the day, more cancellations were added to the list, including 19th seed Alexander Zverev against Gijs Brouwer, 29th seed Tomas Martin Etcheverry against Stan Wawrinka and 31st seed Alejandro Davidovich Fokina against Arthur Fils.
