Father, Sam Aliassime, is a tennis coach and originally from Togo; mother, Marie Auger; sister, Malika, also plays tennis.
Donates $5 for every point that he wins during BNP Paribas Open to EduChange, partnering with CARE to support protection and education of children in Togo. BNP Paribas added $15 for each of Auger-Aliassime's 4,904 points won in 2020, totaling a $98,080 donation.
Favourite surface is hard, shot is forehand and tournament is ATP Masters 1000 Canada.
Idol growing up was Roger Federer, with whom he shares a birthday. Trained together in Dubai following 2017 season.

Achieved career-high No. 4 in June 2026 following his run to Roland Garros QF to become 1st Canadian in history to reach quarter-finals of all 4 Grand Slam tournaments and 9 ATP Masters 1000 events.
Earned personal-best 60 wins during breakout 2022 season, including career-long 16-match win streak with 3 titles in as many weeks at Florence, Antwerp and Basel.
Also in 2022, won Rotterdam title to snap 0-8 start to career in singles finals, advanced to 3rd straight Grand Slam QF at Australian Open, and swept team titles at ATP Cup, Laver Cup and Davis Cup.
Led ATP Tour with 45 hard-court and 31 indoor wins in 2022, highlighted by victories over No. 1 Alcaraz and former No. 1s Djokovic, Murray and Nadal.
