    • Started playing tennis at age 4. Initially wanted to play football, but in his town, he wasn’t allowed to until age 6.
    • Father, Serguei; mother, Galina; brother, Egor.
    • Speaks German, English and Russian.
    • Part Austrian, part Belarusian. Parents are from Belarus and moved to Nuremberg, Germany in 1996. Jurij was born three years later and they would relocate to Austria soon after.
    • Favourite surface is indoor hard and tournament is Wimbledon.
    • Idols growing up included Marat Safin, Roger Federer and Rafael Nadal.
    • Hobbies include hanging out with friends and gaming.
    • If he wasn't a tennis player, he would like to be a football player.
    • Favourite sports team is Arsenal F.C.

    • Earned 1st ranking point at age 16 in November 2015, broke into Top 200 in January 2019, into Top 100 in August 2023 and achieved career-high No. 87 in February 2024 after winning 7th Challenger title in Koblenz.
    • Advanced to 1st ATP Tour QF and SF at 2021 Stuttgart as WC and reached 2nd QF at 2023 Astana as Q.
    • Qualified, saved 1 MP and rallied from 2 sets down vs. Chardy at 2020 Roland Garros to earn 1st tour-level win of career.
    • Also entered Roland Garros as a lucky loser in 2023, losing to former-World No. 10 Pouille in both final round of qualifying and 1R and qualified for both Roland Garros and US Open in 2026.
    • Owns 8-8 record in Challenger finals, including titles at 2022 and 2023 Biel and most recent title at 2025 Bonn.
    • Peaked at No. 7 in juniors, highlighted by run to 2017 Wimbledon boys’ singles QF and boys’ doubles final w/Vrbensky.
