Began playing tennis aged four in Prague, Czech Republic.
Inspired by Rafael Nadal, left home at 14 while parents were living in Belgrade, Serbia (father was working for a supermarket brand). Moved to All-In Academy in Paris and later to the French Riviera.
When he was in Belgrade, trained at Janko Tipsarevic’s eponymous academy. Tipsarevic was an inspiration to him, especially in terms of working hard and never giving up.
Dream job was to become a tennis player.
Favourite shot is forehand, surface is clay, tournament is Roland Garros and city on Tour is Tokyo.
Tennis idol is Rafael Nadal, hero is Tom Cruise.
Outside of tennis, likes wakeboarding. Favourite sports team is FC Barcelona and athlete is Mathew Fraser.

Broke into Top 200 in May 2024 and achieved career-high No. 115 in April 2025 after going on a 14-match winning streak at Challenger level to win titles at Kigali-1 and Kigali-2.
Making his tour-level debut at 2025 Roland Garros as WC after losing in qualifying to Monteiro in 2024.
He is 28-7 on ATP Challenger Tour this season, including back-to-back titles in Kigali, Rwanda in March, before losing to Coric in Zadar final.
Reached 1st Challenger final at 2024 Tunis in May before earning 1st title at 2024 Sibiu, defeating countryman Pavlovic.
Peaked at No. 8 in the junior rankings, finishing junior career by taking 3rd place at 2019 ITF World Tennis Tour Junior Finals (l. to Rune in SF).
