Trainedat Juan Carlos Ferrero's Equelite Academy in Villena, Spain for about four years, until end of 2023.
Mother, Xochitl, one of nine siblings, was ranked in Top 300 on WTA Tour.
Father, Eduardo, was atrack star in Mexico and at University of Alabama.
Parents met whilecompeting at 1988 Seoul Olympics.
Brothers, Eduardo and Diego, played college tennis; cousin,Ernesto Escobedo, is a fellow ATP Tour player.
Started playing tennis with his brothers, while also running track, which "gave us the endurance and turned us into athletes."
Favourite surface is hard and shot is inside-out forehand.
Tennis idol is David Ferrer.
Best advice received is to "work hard, win or lose. It's so simple, but you really have to believe it."
Enjoys playinggolf and American football.
Favourite athlete is boxing legend Mike Tyson.

Perfect day without tennis includes going for a run, doing yoga, eating a huge breakfast with pancakes, watching football and "just chilling."
Favourite food from home is mom's Ceviche, a Mexican dish with raw fish, tomatoes and onionsmarinated in lemon juice.

Former World No. 5 junior earned 1st ranking point at age 16 in 2018, broke into Top 200 in August 2022 and Top 100 in September 2025 and achieved career-high No. 88 in November 2025 soon after advancing to 1st ATP Tour QF in Los Cabos.
Qualified at 2021 ATP Masters 1000 Miami and 2022 Winston-Salem, before earning 1st tour-level win at 2022 US Open over Millman and defeating No. 46 Isner for lone Top 50 win at 2023 ATP Masters 1000 Miami.
In 2025, went on a 19-0 run at Challenger level, picking up titles in Asuncion, Concepcion and Sarasota before losing in Tallahassee final to Rodesch and tied Draxl for most Challenger wins (44).
Did not drop a set en route to 1st Challenger SF, final and title at 2022 Shymkent-1 and 2nd at 2023 Modena.
Two-time Grand Slam boys’ singles runner-up and two-time Grand Slam boys’ doubles runner-up, finishing junior career as 2019 US Open boys’ singles finalist.
Also advanced to 2019 Australian Open boys’ singles final, squandering 1 MP vs. Musetti and falling 4-6 6-2 7-6(12).
