Personal

Comes from an athletic family; mother Margarita was a competitive rower and remains the biggest inspiration in life and sport.
Began playing tennis at age 4 at the Edgewood Pool and Tennis Club in Raynham, Massachusetts, after being inspired by his mother’s recreational tennis.
Has been coached by Fil Miguel since childhood and never left Massachusetts to train at a tennis academy.
Played collegiate tennis close to home at Brown University under head coach Alex Kasarov, earning a Bachelor of Arts degree.
Achieved a career-defining milestone by becoming Brown’s first ITA-ranked player in 18 years.
Currently competing at Southern Methodist University under coach Grant Chen while completing a Master of Science degree.
Envisions continuing education in the future, with interests in attending law school or pursuing a PhD.
Favourite shot is the serve; prefers grass courts.
Favourite tournament is the Hall of Fame Open in Newport, Rhode Island.
Tennis idol growing up was Roger Federer.
Previously played soccer and remains a fan of the New England Patriots; admires Tom Brady.
Hero is his mother.
Favourite superhero and TV show is Daredevil; favourite movie is Creed.
Enjoys reading The Last Olympian and listening to James Taylor; favourite actor is Gary Oldman.
Hobbies include biking, hiking, and playing music; secret talent includes playing more than five instruments and singing.
Favourite food is pizza; guilty pleasure is streaming movies and TV shows.
Best school subject is Political Science.
Best quality is resilience; worst quality is perfectionism.
