    Andy Andrews began serving a first two-year term on the USTA Board of Directors in January 2013. He is the board liaison to the Adult Tennis Council and serves on the Major Construction Oversight Committee… During the 2011-12 term, Andrews was a member of the USTA Junior Competition Committee, and he served on the Collegiate Varsity Committee for two terms, 2009-10 and 2011-12. Previously, he served the USTA Southern Section as a delegate at large, 2009-10, and as secretary of the section’s board of directors, 2011-12… Andrews played professionally for five years, capturing three career ATP doubles titles, one WCT doubles title and 19 singles/doubles titles worldwide. In doubles, he reached the Australian Open final in 1982 and the US Open semifinals in 1983, and in singles he reached the third round of the Australian Open in 1983 and the second round at Wimbledon in 1982 and 1983. He peaked at No. 37 in the world in doubles in 1983 and No. 78 in singles in 1982…After retiring from professional tennis, due to injury, Andrews in 1987 entered the real estate field. He currently serves as president and CEO of Dominion Realty Partners, LLC.  Andrews majored in business management at North Carolina State University, 1977-81, where he was a team captain, a two-time All-American in singles and doubles, an All-ACC performer and a member of two ACC championship teams. He has remained active in tennis in and around North Carolina and currently serves as a board member of the North Carolina Tennis Foundation. Previously, he served as a two-time past president and as a board member for the Raleigh Racquet Club and as a member of the Southern Tennis Patrons Foundation. In addition, he has successfully chaired three separate fundraising efforts to raise more than $9 million for tennis-related activities in North Carolina… For his efforts and accomplishments, Andrews has been inducted into the North Carolina Tennis Hall of Fame and the George Whitfield Hall of Fame. In 2009, he received the North Carolina Mary Milam Lifetime Tennis Achievement Award, and in 2011 he received the North Carolina Tennis Association President’s Award…

    Andrews resides in Raleigh with his wife, Carol. They have two children, a daughter, Rhyne, and a son, Alex. Andrews is a member of the USTA Southern Section.
