    Singles and doubles All-America at UCLA in 1988, winning the NCAA
    doubles title (w/Patrick Galbraith) and finishing runner-up in singles (l. to
    Robbie Weiss). The first player in the 1980s to reach both NCAA finals.
    He finished 1988 ranked No. 13 in singles (from 40) and No. 5 in doubles
    (from 22). In 1989, he repeated as All-America, rankings No. 4 in singles
    and No. 3 in doubles. All together he is a three-time All-America.
    Member of the 1988 USTA Junior Davis Cup team.
    Began playing tennis at age 6.
    Earned a career-high $25,649 and ranked No. 290 in singles, No. 93 in
    doubles on the ATP computer in 1989.
