Fell as low as No. 425 on Feb. 2, 2015 after struggling with mononucleosis. Earned 1st ranking point at age 17 on Sept. 13, 2004 following 1R win at Munich, GER Futures as WC (d. M. Schneider, l. to Craca). Peaked at No. 55 in junior rankings on Jan. 3, 2005
    • Four-time semi-finalist on ATP World Tour: 2009 Munich as WC (l. to Youzhny in 3 sets), 2011 Vienna as Q (l. to No. 9 Tsonga), 2013 Doha as Q (d. Monfils, l. to No. 10 Gasquet) and 2013 Munich (d. Monfils and No. 10 Tipsarevic, l. to Kohlschreiber 76 in 3rd). Winner of 6 ATP Challenger Tour titles, most recently at 2012 Eckental, GER (d. Gulbis). Captured both of his career Futures titles in 2015: Trimbach, SUI (d. Dmitriev) and Kramsach, AUT (d. Kocevar-Desman)
    • Enjoyed run to 2010 Wimbledon 4R by upsetting No. 5 Davydenko in 2R and rallying from 2 sets down to beat Hanescu in 3R (l. to Berdych). Qualified for 5 Grand Slam events, including debut at 2008 Roland Garros (l. to Tursunov in 1R) and most recently at 2016 Australian Open (d. Estrella Burgos in 1R, l. to Garcia-Lopez in 2R).
    • Reached 2R twice at ATP Masters 1000 events: 2013 Indian Wells as Q (d. Baghdatis, l. to Seppi) and 2013 Shanghai (d. Falla, l. to Haas). Also qualified at 2013 Monte-Carlo (l. to Davydenko in 1R)
    • Made winning ATP World Tour debut at 2007 Munich as WC (d. Verkerk, l. to Waske in 2R). Boasts 5 wins against Top 10 opponents, posting biggest victory of career over No. 3 Ferrer in 2014 Doha 2R (l. to Monfils in QF). Owns records of 170-125 at Challengers and 49-34 at Futures
