Father, Alejandro, played professionally in 1980s; mother, Maria Luz; older brother, Francisco, also plays on ATP Tour; sister, Maria Constanza, played for Argentine field hockey team that won gold medal at 2018 Youth Olympic Games.
Began playing tennis as a 3-year-old at his parents' academy.
Inspired by fellow-left handerRafael Nadal because of "how he plays and fights for every ball."
Favourite shot is forehand, surface is clay, tournament is Roland Garros and city on tour is New York.
Favourite football team is River Plate and lists Lionel Messi,Neymar andCristiano Ronaldo as his favourite players.
Says that Batman and Spiderman are his favourite superheroes, and The Avengers is his favourite movie.
Favourite TV show is Game of Thrones, actor is Cillian Murphy and musician is Ozuna.
Enjoys playing FIFA on PlayStation 4, watching Netflix and relaxing with friends.
Favourite foods are pizza and asado (Argentinian barbecue).
Guilty pleasure is ice cream.
Says that off court he is calm and at times a loner.
Thinks that his best quality is his patience and worst quality is being selfish.
"I never in my life imagined that I could win the tournament," he said after capturing 2021 Cordoba title."So maybe that was the key, because I never felt anxious."

Defeated two-time champion and No. 13 Ruud en route to 2nd ATP Tour final at 2025 Gstaad after earning 1st Top 20 win over No. 19 Auger-Aliassime to reach 2025 ATP Masters 1000 Madrid as Q.
Boasts 156-81 Challenger record (11-4 in finals), sweeping back-to-back titles on home soil at 2023 Tigre-1 and Tigre-2.
