Member Mexican Davis Cup team, 1985-87. Won Mexican junior champion-
ships in 1984. He enjoys soccer, baseball, and music.
Won the 1985 Wimbledon junior championship in singles.
Underwent left knee cap surgery in April 1989 and suffered a back injury
limiting him to two tournaments in 1989.
Qualified for his first major tournament at Toronto in July 1990 and up-
set Dan Goldie in first round. Prior to that, lost five tournaments in
qualifying.
