Ferdi and Sherwood Stewart formed the top doubles team on the Grand Prix points ladder in 1982. He was an All-American at UCLA from 1974-1977 where he received his Bachelor of Science degree in Economics and was the NCAA doubles champion in 1976. He was the 1974 National junior champion and a member of the Junior Davis Cup team in 1972-75. Inducted into the ITA Hall of Fame in 2006. He is a vegetarian, interested in modern art, enjoys skiing (he finished fourth nationally in his age group at 13) and an avid and accomplished golfer. He has been with Simons & Company since 2002 as Director of Institutional Sales in their Boston office.
