Broke into Top 100 on Apr. 25, 2016 after winning Turin, ITA Challenger title. Achieved career-high No. 57 on Oct. 24, 2016 after beating No. 7 Monfils for biggest win by ranking in Stockholm 2R (l. to Sock in QF). Earned 1st ranking point as 15-year-old on May 8, 2006 following ATP World Tour debut at Estoril as LL (l. to Tursunov in 1R). Peaked at No. 6 in junior rankings on Jan. 1, 2008.
  • Milestones: Advanced to 1st 2 ATP World Tour SFs in 2016 at Bastad (d. Sousa, l. to Verdasco) and Umag (d. Cuevas after saving 1 MP, l. to Fognini).
