    • In 2021 was elected president of the French Tennis Federation.
    • Founded Gilles Moretton Organisation, which organised sporting events. Created the Lyon Tennis Grand Prix in 1987, and the event became a staple on the ATP Tour. Managed the tournament until 2009.
    • Was president of the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes Tennis League.
    • Was Chairman of the Board of ABEL Basket, managing the club for 13 years. Team won French championships twice during his tenure.
    • Was a member of the French Davis Cup team, playing seven matches.
    • Doubles titles include: 1979--(2) Linz (w/Dominguez), Paris (w/Haillet)
    • 1984- Doubles Semifinalist at Aix-en-Provence (w/Mortensen)
    • 1981- Runner-up at Atlanta
    • Best Grand Slam results: R16 at 1979 Roland Garros(d/Clerc)
