    • Qualified at 2022 Roland Garros in 1st try at a Grand Slam event, defeating 38-year-old Seppi in Q1 to snap his countryman’s streak of 66 straight Grand Slam main draw appearances (l. to Hurkacz).
    • Also qualified at 2022 ATP Masters 1000 Rome with comeback wins over No. 47 Molcan and No. 62 Cressy. and 2 months later advanced to 1st ATP Tour SF in Umag as Q (l. to No. 5 Alcaraz).
    • Captured 1st Challenger title of career on home soil at 2021 Barletta (d. Cobolli)
    • Has a 68-64 career record on ATP Challenger Tour with 2 titles (53-51 on clay with 1 title, 15-13 on hard with 1 title).
    • Peaked at No. 12 in juniors after falling to countryman Musetti in 2019 Australian Open boys’ singles SF and teaming with Musetti to reach 2019 Australian Open boys’ doubles SF.
