    A prototype of the big-serving Californian, Pfister played collegiately at San Jose State University and was undefeated in 1985. He was encouraged by his late father, Henry, who died of cancer in 1981, only three months before Hank's first Grand Prix victory at Maui. Hank and his wife Kim have 5 grandchildren from their three daughters Andrea, Kelly and Patty.
