    • Nicknamed Menimal.
    • Parents, father, Michal; and mother, Katerina Mensikova; brother, Lukas.
    • Began playing at the age of 5 and had courts in front of the family house. He used to go there to see how children and adults were playing. He liked it and started practicing with coach Ivo Müller. He enjoyed the training sessions and says, "I fell in love with tennis through games and competitions."
    • Considers best shot as backhand down the line and favorite surface hard courts.
    • Favorite tournament is Australian Open and favorite city on tour is New York.
    • Tennis idol is Novak Djokovic and favorite athlete is Stephen Curry and team is Golden State Warriors.

    • Qualified for 1st Grand Slam tournament at 2023 US Open and 2nd-youngest player in main draw behind Tien-17 (turns 18 on 1 September). Beat former Top 10 Fognini in 1R in 3 sets, Riedi in 2R in 3 sets and countryman Kolar in straight sets in final round to make his tour-level debut.
    • Became the youngest player in Top 200 of Pepperstone ATP Rankings in July 2023 and achieved a career-high No. 187 on 31 July 2023, before falling out to No. 206 on 28 August.
    • Prior to qualifying at Flushing Meadows, played in 11 Challenger main draws on clay sincehis last hard court tournament at ITF World Tour event in Slovak Republic, which he won on 2 April.
    • Has compiled an 18-11 record on ATP Challenger Tour in 2023 (17-10 on clay), winning 1st Challenger title in Prague-2 (d. Koepfer). Also a quarter-finalist in 5 other Challengers, all on clay.
    • In 2022, finished No. 449 and best Challenger result was SF at Prague-3 and won 4 ITF World Tour titles.
    • Has a 41-14 career record on ITF World Tour (7-2 in 2023) with 5 titles (3 on hard courts, 2 on clay).
    • Ranked a career-high No. 2 in world junior rankings in April 2022 after reaching Australian Open junior final (l. to Kuzuhara).
