    • Grew up idolising countryman and former World No. 1 Gustavo Kuerten, but says Rafael Nadal inspires him: "I leave my best on the court and try to be a good example. That's why I admire Rafa so much. He never throws a racquet and that's the example I try to show to the young guys coming up. This is what I will try to do for the rest of my career."
    • If he could steal one shot from another player it would be Pete Sampras' serve or Fernando Gonzalez's forehand.
    • Also enjoys football. Supports his hometown team Uberaba Sport Club.
    • Admires Brazilian Formula One legend Ayrton Senna, who died during a race in 1994.
    • Says that his dad is his hero and Batman is his favourite superhero.
    • Favourite book is A Song of Ice and Fire by Game of Thrones author George R. R. Martin.
    • Says his dream job is musician and travels with his guitar. Favourite musician is Brazilian composer Tom Jobim: "In my family, I have a lot of doctors and musicians. Not professional musicians, but very talented with music. That's the thing with my family. I grew up with people playing the guitar and singing Brazilian songs. We have so many types of music, but I like bossa nova. A lot of movement and energy."
    • Favourite movie is The Lord of the Rings, TV show is Game of Thrones and actor is Sylvester Stallone.
    • Says that his secret talent is making barbecue, which is his favourite food.
    • Guilty pleasure is drinking Coca-Cola, but not Pepsi.
    • Lists working hard as his best quality and being shy as his worst quality.
    • Won gold medal at 2019 Pan American Games: "I cannot describe it. Before the gold medal, nobody knew me. I had 2,000 followers on Instagram. In three days, I went to 16,000. All the matches were on TV and people in Brazil saw me play. It was amazing."
    • Best advice received: "I have three sentences that describe my life. The first one is from my dad, that you have to do what you love and you have to do it for the love and not the money. The second one is from my coach, that you always have to be aware that anything can happen. You always have to adapt. And third one is that nothing is forever. You can win a title and lose first round the next day."

    • Made ATP Tour debut at 2021 Cordoba Open.
    • In July 2019, reached the final atATP Challenger in Binghamton, USA (on hard courts) and won gold medal at the Pan American Games (on clay) the following week in Lima, Peru.
    • Won first ATP Challenger title in Samarkand, Uzbekistan, in May 2019.
