Qualified in his first professional tournament at the Martinique (French
West Indies) Challenger in April 1989 and lost in the opening round to Steph-
ane Grenier.
He has won four USTA junior titles, including the 1989 Easter Bowl 18s
in Miami. Others include the 1985 Easter Bowl 14s, '85 Claycourt 14s and '84
Florida Tennis Association 14s.
He also finished third in the '85 National Hardcourts.
Ranked No. 2 in the USTA Boys' 14s in 1985.
Ranks as the No. 1 junior in Florida in 1989 and is expected to be the
No. 1 junior in the U.S.
