    • Started playing tennis at age 4. Initially wanted to play football, but in his town, he wasn’t allowed to until age 6.
    • Father, Serguei; mother, Galina; brother, Egor.
    • Speaks German, English and Russian.
    • Part Austrian, part Belarusian. Parents are from Belarus and moved to Nuremberg, Germany in 1996. Jurij was born three years later and they would relocate to Austria soon after.
    • Favourite surface is indoor hard and tournament is Wimbledon.
    • Idols growing up included Marat Safin, Roger Federer and Rafael Nadal.
    • Hobbies include hanging out with friends and gaming.

    • Qualified, saved 1 MP and rallied from 2 sets down vs. Chardy at 2020 Roland Garros to earn 1st tour-level win of career.
    • Has 121-85 career record on ATP Challenger Tour (6-1 in finals) and 91-51 on hard (4 titles), 28-28 on clay (2 titles). Won titles at2022 at Biel and Mauthausen and 2023 Biel.
    • Peaked at No. 7 in juniors, highlighted by run to 2017 Wimbledon boys’ singles QF and boys’ doubles final w/Vrbensky.
