In his post-playing career, coached Wesley Moodie and Mahesh Bhupathi in 2006...The following year, he became a full-time TV commentator on the ATP World Tour; he can be heard on ESPN Asia/Australia, FOX Sports (Australia), Tennis Channel (USA), Star Sports through-out other Asian regions, Al Jazeera Sport (Qatar), SKY Sports NZ and SuperSport in Africa...As a highly respected commentator, he is known for his passion, enthusiasm and astute analysis of the game, and his coined phrases in particular, continue to amuse tennis audiences worldwide. Together with Jason Goodall, they form the lead commentary team for TennisTV.com.

Began playing tennis at age five with his older brother Carl, as well as his uncle, who played Davis Cup for South Africa in 1960s...Father, Jacques (born in Mauritius), is a semi-retired salesman at an antique furniture store in Kloof (near Durban); mother, Greta, is retired...Enjoys watching cricket, rugby, and playing golf, swimming and water skiing... Enjoys golf and fly-fishing, reading motivational books/biographies and spending time with kids and family...As a youngster, admired Bjorn Borg (for his attitude) and Ivan Lendl (for his work ethic)...Wife, Giselle; sons, Kyle and Luc; daughter, Grace...Practiced at David Lloyd Tennis Center at Wimbledon...Worked with coaches Craig Tiley (now CEO of Tennis Australia) and Damien Roberts.
