    • Reached 1st ATP singles final at 2008 Munich (d. Mathieu 7-6 in the 3rd, l. to F. Gonzalez). Owns 12 Challenger singles titles, highlighted by 4 in 2014: Bergamo (d. Struff), Vercelli (d. Delic), Tunis (d. Reister), and Oberstaufen (d. Berrer).
    • Posted 28 ATP singles wins in 2015 after combined 25 wins from 2011-14. Snapped Open Era-record 35-match losing streak vs. Top 10 opponents by beating No. 6 Raonic 76 in 3rd set at 2015 Marseille.
    • Advanced 5 times to Grand Slam singles 3R, most recently at 2014 Wimbledon (d. Kohlschreiber in 5 sets, l. to Nishikori in 5 sets) and 2015 Roland Garros (d. Troicki, l. to No.8 Ferrer in 5 sets).
    • In doubles, achieved career-high No. 8 in 2015 after capturing 1st major title w/Fognini at the Australian Open (d. Herbert/Mahut), becoming 1st All-Italian team to win men’s doubles major in Open Era.
    • Also reached men's doubles finals of 2024 Australian Open and Roland Garros with Vavassori.
