Father, Juan Carlos, passed away in 2008; mother, Olga, is a housewife.
Older brother, Gustavo, is a doctor;older sister, Gabriela, is a kindergarten teacher.
Idolsgrowing up was Argentine soccer legend Diego Maradona and Pete Sampras.
Went to San Jose College in his hometown of Tandil before turning pro.
Considers clay as best surface and forehand as strength.
Favourite tournament is Roland Garros.
Best memory is playing Roger Federer at 2008 US Open on Arthur Ashe Stadium.
Hobbies include playing poker, guitar and riding ATVs (all terrain vehicles).

Has won 17 ATP Tour doubles titles w/9 different partners and has captured at least one title in 8 of last 9 years (except 2017). Won a personal-best 5 titles in 2023 w/countryman Molteni to qualify for Nitto ATP Finals. Won 2 of 3 clay titles at 500 level (Rio de Janeiro, Barcelona) and hard court titles in Washington and ATP Masters 1000 Cincinnati.
Best Grand Slam doubles result is 2008 US Open semi-final w/Monaco and 2021 Wimbledon w/Bolelli.
Broke Top 10 at No. 10 on 11 September 2023 after QF at US Open.
First teamed up with Molteni at 2014 Sao Paulo-2 Challenger (Finalist) and played on-and-off in 6 Challengers between 2014-18.
Played one tournament in 2020-21, two in 2022 before teaming up full-time in 2023. Won 1st ATP Tour title together at 2022 Gijon, then won 3 titles in 2023 (Cordoba, Rio de Janeiro, Barcelona).
