    • Dad was a fan of the band "The Who" and named son after the album and musical "Tommy".
    • Grew up on hard courts at Olot Swimming Club and at age 14 firstplayed on clay courts in Barcelona.

    • In 2011 and 2013 received ATP ACESfor Charity grant for theTommy Robredo Foundation,which promotes sports for peoplewith disabilities. Serves as tournament director for the Santi Silvas Open, an international wheelchair tennis event.

Returned to No. 14 on 31 March 2014. Dropped to No. 550 on 30 January 2017 following right elbow surgery. Broke back into Top 150 on 18 September 2017.
    • Qualified for Nitto ATP Finals in2006 and went 1-2(d. Blake, l. to Nadal and Davydenko).
    • Captured 11 of 12 singles titles on clay. Held 5 MPs and lost to Murray in both 2014 Shenzhen and 2014 Valencia finals.Earned 40+ victories in 6 seasons (2004-07, 2009, 2014). Enjoyed 500th win in 2014 Valencia SF (d. Chardy). Owns 2-7record vs. World No. 1 with wins over Hewitt at 2003 Roland Garros and Djokovic at 2014ATP Masters 1000 Cincinnati. Boasts 200+ wins on clay (261-132) and hard (230-185).
    • Reached 7 Grand Slam QFs. En route to 2013 Roland Garros QF, joinedCochet at 1927 Wimbledon as2nd playerto post 3 straight comebacks from 2 sets down (d. Sijsling, Monfils and Almagro). Advanced to 2000 Roland Garros boys' singles final. Won boys' doubles titles in 2000 atAustralianOpen w/Mahut and Roland Garros w/M. Lopez.
    • Defeated fellow Top 20 players Ferrer, Ancic and Stepanek to captured biggest title of career at 2006 ATP Masters 1000 Hamburg. Won 2008 ATP Masters 1000 Monte-Carlo doubles title w/Nadal. Reached 2009 ATP Masters 1000 Paris doubles final w/Granollers.
    • Owns9-12 Davis Cuprecord (6-8 singles). Played in all 4 rubbers for Spanish team that won 2004 Davis Cup title.
