    • Mother, Sondra, is a retired teacher and played college tennis at San Diego State University, where she earned the prestigious Arthur Ashe Award for Leadership and Sportsmanship in 1989.
    • Says his mother has inspired him the most: "She taught me how to play and I was hitting with her almost every day until I was 15 or 16. My earliest tennis memory was when I was four and it started raining and I was crying to her because I couldn't play."

    • Youngest American in Top 200 of PIF ATP Rankings earned career-high No. 60 in May 2024 after defeating American No. 1 Fritz to reach 1st clay ATP Tour QF in Geneva.
    • Became the youngest American man in Grand Slam 3R since Young at 2007 US Open, reaching 3R at Australian Open.
    • Earned 1st ATP Tour win and reached 1st QF, SF and final at 2023 Newport, becoming the youngest American ATP Tour finalist since Fritz at 2016 Memphis.
    • Defeated No. 9 de Minaur for the biggest win of career in 2024 Los Cabos 2R, before squandering 3 MPs in QF against eventual champion Thompson.
