The manicured grass courts of Wimbledon inspired Felix Auger-Aliassime to opt for a fresh buzzcut, he hilariously revealed on social media.

After training with Roland Garros champion Alexander Zverev on Saturday at the All England Club, the No. 4 player in the PIF ATP Rankings posted a photo of his new haircut. The Canadian joked that the inspiration came from Wimbledon's 'freshly cut' grass courts.

“Got a bit too inspired by the freshly cut grass and decided to do the same to my hair👨🏽‍🦲😉,” the Canadian posted on Instagram  alongside a series of photos of his new look, including a picture from his childhood.

The 25-year-old is the latest player to join the ATP Tour's recent buzzcut trend. Carlos Alcaraz famously showed off his fresh trim at the US Open last year, while Casper Ruud and Joao Fonseca and Jack Draper had opted for the buzzcut look in the past year.

Auger-Aliassime, a 2021 quarter-finalist, faces Aleksandr Shevchenko in the opening round. The third seed is seeded to meet seven-time champion Novak Djokovic in the quarter-finals.
