Moving from the grass courts of Wimbledon to the clay courts of Europe, Andrey Rublev, Alexander Bublik, Casper Ruud and Flavio Cobolli, headline a packed week on the ATP Tour, with three clay-court ATP 250 tournaments unfolding across Bastad, Gstaad and Umag, respectively.

Former champion Rublev headlines the field at the Nordea Open in Bastad. Meanwhile, defending champion Bublik and two-time winner Ruud lead the draw at the EFG Swiss Open Gstaad, and Flavio Cobolli is the top seed at the Plava Laguna Croatia Open Umag

ATPTour.com looks at five key storylines at each tournament.

FIVE THINGS TO WATCH IN BASTAD

1) Rublev top seed: Rublev, the 2023 champion, returns to Bastad for his fourth appearance. The 28-year-old is chasing his first tour-level title of the season and arrives at the ATP 250 event following a first-round exit at Wimbledon. The 28-year-old will open against Nicolai Budkov Kjaer or Andrea Pellegrino.

2) In form on clay Darderi: Defending champion Luciano Darderi is fourth on the Tour in clay-court wins this season (17-9) and returns to Bastad as the second seed. The Italian has won all five of his tour-level titles on clay, including in Santiago this year, and will look to bring his solid form to Bastad.

3) #NextGenATP star Kouame, Dimitrov receive wild cards: Seventeen-year-old Moise Kouame, who reached the third round at Roland Garros in May, has received a wild card and is set for his Bastad main-draw debut. Grigor Dimitrov and Swedish Max Dahlin have also been awarded main-draw wild cards.

4) Tabilo, Navone, Borges play: Top 50 players Alejandro Tabilo, Mariano Navone, and Nuno Borges are all in action this week in Bastad. Borges won the Bastad crown in 2023.

5) Arribage/Cabral lead doubles draw: Theo Arribage has this year won five titles with Albano Olivetti and will aim to continue that form when he partners with Francisco Cabral in Bastad, where they are the top seeds in the doubles draw.

FIVE THINGS TO WATCH IN GSTAAD

1) Defending champion Bublik: Bublik returns to Gstaad as the defending champion and top seed, aiming for his second title of the season after winning the Hong Kong trophy in January. Fresh off a fourth-round run at Wimbledon, Bublik opens his Gstaad campaign against Quentin Halys or a qualifier.

2) Ruud eyes three-peat: Back for the fourth time on the clay courts of Gstaad, where he won back-to-back titles in 2021 and 2022, Ruud will aim to regain momentum following his opening-round Wimbledon exit.

3) Wawrinka says goodbye: Home hope Stan Wawrinka, who plans to retire later this season, is set to play in Gstaad one last time. Wawrinka opens against Jaime Faria and would face second seed Ruud in the second round if he wins.

4) Kym, Stricker lead home charge: Jerome Kym and Dominic Stricker have both received a wild card into the main draw at their home tournament. Kym opens against a qualifier and Stricker meets eighth seed Jaume Munar in the first round.

5) Miedler/Polmans doubles top seeds: Lucas Miedler last year won the Gstaad title with Cabral and will aim to repeat the feat this year when he partners with Australian Marc Polmans, who recently reached the mixed doubles final at Wimbledon.

FIVE THINGS TO WATCH IN UMAG

1) Cobolli leads the field: Cobolli, who last month reached his first major final at Roland Garros, is set to compete in the Umag main draw for the third time. The Italian is seeking his second trophy this season and opens his title bid against a qualifier or Roman Andres Burruchaga.

2) Davidovich Fokina features: Second seed Alejandro Davidovich Fokina is set for his Umag debut after winning his maiden tour-level title in Mallorca and reaching the Wimbledon fourth round for the first time. The Spaniard opens against Kyrian Jacquet or Marco Trungelliti.

3) Prizmic leads home hopes: Croatian Dino Prizmic, who in May earned upset wins against Ben Shelton and Novak Djokovic at the ATP Masters 1000 events in Madrid and Rome respectively, will aim to bring that form to Umag where he is set to compete for the fourth time.

4) Seeded contenders: Third seed Tomas Martin Etcheverry and fourth seed Matteo Arnaldi form a competitive group of seeds capable of solid runs. World No. 32 Etcheverry won his first tour-level title earlier this season in Rio de Janeiro. Italian Arnaldi reached his first major quarter-final at Roland Garros in June.

5) Pavlasek and Rikl lead doubles draw: Adam Pavlasek and Patrik Rikl, who reached the final at the clay-court ATP 250 event in Bucharest and four other tour-level semi-finals this season, will aim to clinch their first title of 2026 together in Umag, where they are the top seeds.
