Harri Heliovaara and Henry Patten have clinched Year-End ATP Doubles No. 1 presented by PIF honours for the first time.
Heliovaara of Finland and Patten of Great Britain qualified for the Nitto ATP Finals in each of the past two seasons. Not only did they qualify for the season finale for the third time this year, but they are now guaranteed to top the year-end doubles team standings.
The year-end No. 1 pair has partnered for five titles this season, triumphing in Adelaide, Doha, Dubai, Madrid and Wimbledon. They made the semi-finals of the Rolex Paris Masters and have the Nitto ATP Finals still to come.
Heliovaara is the first Finnish player to be part of a year-end No. 1 doubles team, while Patten follows last year’s top duo, Britons Julian Cash and Lloyd Glasspool. One year ago, Heliovaara and Petten were the year-end No. 2 team.
They carried that momentum into 2026, winning 17 of their first 18 matches of the season. Heliovaara and Patten claimed more trophies this year (5) than they have in any previous season.
Their biggest result of the year came at Wimbledon, where they claimed the title for the second time in three years. The Finnish-British team became the first men’s doubles duo to earn multiple Wimbledon crowns since Bob Bryan and Mike Bryan won their second in 2011.
At Wimbledon, Heliovaara and Patten won three final-set tie-breaks and claimed eight of the nine tie-breaks they played in the tournament to secure glory.
The year-end No. 1 doubles team also reached another major final at Roland Garros. In addition, they advanced to finals in Miami and at Queen’s Club.
