Harri Heliovaara and Henry Patten moved one step closer to their fourth title of the season on Friday when they eased past top seeds Marcel Granollers and Horacio Zeballos 6-2, 6-3 in the semi-finals at the Miami Open presented by Itau.
The fourth seeds did not drop en route to the last four and carried that momentum through the semi-final, where they gave the top seeds no chance to gain a foothold in the match. Heliovarra and Patten saved all eight break points they faced, according to Infosys ATP Stats, en route to their 65-minute triumph.
The Finn-British duo is now on an 11-match winning streak after winning ATP 500 titles in Doha and Dubai. They also claimed the Adelaide crown in January.
Heliovaara and Patten will face Simone Bolelli and Andrea Vavassori in the championship match on Saturday. The seventh-seeded Italians defeated Sander Arends and John-Patrick Smith 6-3, 6-4 in the second semi-final.
Granollers & Zeballos hold firm for Miami SF spot
Marcel Granollers and Horacio Zeballos were made to work on Thursday at the Miami Open presented by Itau, but they ultimately held firm for a straight-sets win to reach the semi-finals.
The top seeds earned a hard-fought 6-3, 7-6(3) win over Hugo Nys and Edouard Roger-Vasselin. Granollers and Zeballos trailed 2-5 in a back-and-forth second set, during which they saved two set points, according to Infosys ATP Stats.
Granollers and Zeballos, third in the PIF ATP Live Doubles Teams Rankings, are chasing their first title of the season. They will next face fourth seeds Harri Heliovaara and Henry Patten, who downed defending champions Marcelo Arevalo and Mate Pavic 6-3, 6-4.
Heliovaara and Patten are on a 10-match winning streak after winning ATP 500 titles in Doha and Dubai. In Thursday's last quarter-final clash, Sander Arends and John-Patrick Smith rallied past Austin Krajicek and Nikola Mektic 4-6, 6-3, 10-8.
Nys/Roger-Vasselin reach first Masters 1000 QF together in Miami
Eighth seeds Hugo Nys and Edouard Roger-Vasselin set a quarter-final date with top seeds Marcel Granollers and Horacio Zeballos on Wednesday at the Miami Open presented by Itau. The Monegasque-French team downed Kevin Krawietz and Neil Oberleitner 6-2, 6-4.
Nys and Roger-Vasselin saved both breaks they faced, according to the Infoys ATP Stats, to reach their first ATP Masters 1000 quarter-final as a team. Last year, Nys and Roger-Vasselin advanced to the semi-finals at Roland Garros and won the title in Tokyo.
Fifth seeds Marcelo Arevalo and Mate Pavic also advanced, beating Sadio Doumbia and Fabien Reboul 6-4, 6-4. Arevalo and Pavic won the ‘Sunshine Double’ in 2025, lifting trophies in Indian Wells and Miami.
Sander Arends and John-Patrick Smith upset second seeds Julian Cash and Lloyd Glasspool 6-7(3), 6-2, 10-4.
Seventh seeds Simone Bolelli and Andrea Vavassori downed Australian Open champions Christian Harrison and Neal Skupski 7-5, 5-7, 10-6 in the quarter-finals. The Italian duo will next meet Austin Krajicek and Nikola Mektic or Arends and Smith.

Granollers & Zeballos earn revenge win to reach Miami QFs
Marcel Granollers and Horacio Zeballos earned a slice of revenge on Tuesday at the Miami Open presented by Itau, where they downed familiar foes Theo Arribage and Albano Olivetti 6-4, 7-6(6) to reach the quarter-finals.
The top seeds fell to the French pair in the Dallas final last month, but made amends with a hard-fought win in South Florida, where they converted their third match point. Granollers and Zeballos, who are third in the PIF ATP Live Doubles Teams Rankings, are this week chasing their eighth ATP Masters 1000 title as a duo.
Two other seeded teams also advanced on Tuesday in Miami. Harri Heliovaara and Henry Patten, fresh from titles in Doha and Dubai, extended their winning streak to nine matches by defeating Santiago Gonzalez and David Pel 6-2, 6-4. Reigning Australian Open champions Christian Harrison and Neal Skupski beat Evan King and John Peers 6-1, 6-4.

Cash & Glasspool kick off Miami redemption run in style
Julian Cash and Lloyd Glasspool made a winning start to their redemption bid at the Miami Open presented by Itau on Monday, when they advanced past Petr Nouza and Patrik Rikl 6-4, 6-3 in 62 minutes.
After ending last season as the first all-British team to secure ATP Year-End Doubles No. 1 presented by PIF honours, the second seeds are now chasing their first title of 2026. Cash and Glasspool fell short in last year’s Miami final to Marcelo Arevalo and Mate Pavic, who also began their campaign with a win on Monday.
The defending champions cruised past Alexander Erler and Robert Galloway 6-1, 6-3, saving the only break point they faced, according to Infosys ATP Stats. With their 2025 victory in Miami, Arevalo and Pavic completed the rare ‘Sunshine Double’, becoming just the sixth team in history to achieve the feat.
