Casper Ruud, Arthur Fils and Zhang Zhizhen withdrew from Wimbledon on Saturday.
Ruud, who is struggling with a knee injury, has not competed since his second-round defeat to Nuno Borges at Roland Garros last month. After the match, Ruud admitted that he had been battling with the injury for several weeks.
The Norwegian is currently the No. 16 in the PIF ATP Rankings and owns a 3-5 record at Wimbledon, according to the Infosys ATP Win/Loss Index. Prior to his campaign at Roland Garros, Ruud won the biggest title of his career at the ATP Masters 1000 in Madrid and reached the quarter-finals in Rome.
World No. 15 Fils withdrew due to a stress fracture in his back, which he revealed in the aftermath of his Roland Garros withdrawal. The Frenchman made the fourth round at SW19 last year.
Zhang has not competed since Indian Wells in March. The Chinese star withdrew due to an ongoing shoulder injury.
With the withdrawals, Fabio Fognini, Elmer Moller and Lloyd Harris moved into the main draw.
