Since making his Madrid debut in 2021, the No. 1 player in the PIF ATP Rankings Sinner has tallied a 6-2 win-loss record at the tournament, according to the Infosys ATP Win/Loss Index.
Sinner, who has competed in Madrid three times, reached the quarter-final at the clay-court Masters 1000 event in 2024.
Sinner reached the quarter-finals in Madrid in his most recent appearance in 2024. The Italian was set to face Felix Auger-Aliassime in the last eight but withdrew due to a hip injury. (Read more).
Sinner has won eight ATP Masters 1000 titles. The Italian has triumphed at all three Masters 1000 events this season. With his Monte-Carlo victory in April, Sinner became just the second player to win the first three Masters 1000 events of the season.

Sinner holds a 70-24 win-loss record on clay courts, according to the Infosys ATP Win/Loss Index, for a winning percentage of 74.5 per cent.
Sinner will open his Madrid campaign against a qualifier or lucky loser and could face 32nd seed Gabriel Diallo in the third round. Fifth seed Alex de Minaur, ninth seed Andrey Rublev and 27th seed Joao Fonseca are among the players in his quarter. Fourth seed Ben Shelton and sixth seed Lorenzo Musetti are also in the top half of the draw.
