Sinner reached consecutive semi-finals in Monte-Carlo in 2023 and 2024, when he fell to Holger Rune and Stefanos Tsitsipas, respectively.
Sinner advanced to the semi-finals in his last appearance in Monte-Carlo in 2024, when he lost to eventual champion Stefanos Tsitsipas. The Italian also reached the semi-finals in 2023.

Sinner will face Frenchman Ugo Humbert in his opener and then could meet Francisco Cerundolo in the third round. Felix Auger-Aliassime is a potential quarter-final opponent, while he could play third seed Alexander Zverev in the semi-finals. The Italian is seeded to play Carlos Alcaraz for the first time this season in the final.
