The US Open men's doubles draw was released Wednesday, with top seeds Harri Heliovaara and Henry Patten leading the field. Defending champions Marcel Granollers and Horacio Zeballos are seeded second.
Heliovaara and Patten, who won the Wimbledon title this year, will begin against Argentine brothers Francisco Cerundolo and Juan Manuel Cerundolo. Granollers and Zeballos, reigning Roland Garros champions, are in the same quarter as Orlando Luz and Rafael Matos, the Brazilian team that won back-to-back ATP Masters 1000 titles in Montreal and Cincinnati. Also in that quarter is three-time US Open titlists (2021-23) Rajeev Ram and Joe Salisbury.
A host of singles stars are competing in the doubles field in New York, including Alexander Bublik, who is partnering China's Shang Juncheng. The Cerundolo brothers are not the only brothers playing together. Americans Brandon Nakashima and Bryce Nakashima are in the field.
Marcelo Arevalo and Mate Pavic are seeded third while Italians Simone Bolelli and Andrea Vavassori are the fourth seeds. American Christian Harrison and Briton Neal Skupski, who won the Australian Open title this year, round out the top five seeds.
