Harri Heliovaara and Henry Patten returned to the championship match at Wimbledon on Thursday, when they edged singles stars Thanasi Kokkinakis and Aleksandar Kovacevic 7-6(2), 7-6(8) in two hours and nine minutes.
The 2024 champions saved all three break points they faced in a tight semi-final clash on No. 1 Court. Chasing their third major crown as a team and second in London, Heliovaara and Patten will play sixth seeds Marcelo Arevalo and Mate Pavic in Saturday’s final.
Earlier in the day, Arevalo and Pavic defeated seventh seeds Kevin Krawietz and Tim Puetz 7-6(8), 6-2 in one hour and 38 minutes to advance to their first Wimbledon final together. The duo is riding a nine-match winning streak after capturing the Queen’s Club title last month.

Arevalo/Pavic sink defending champs Cash/Glasspool to reach Wimbledon SFs
Marcelo Arevalo and Mate Pavic continued their march towards their first Wimbledon title on Wednesday afternoon, when they defeated defending champions Julian Cash and Lloyd Glasspool 6-2, 7-6(2) to reach the semi-finals.
Last year, Arevalo and Pavic came just short of the championship match by letting slip two match points in their semi-final defeat to Rinky Hijikata and David Pel. Pavic won the Wimbledon title with Nikola Mektic in 2021, but he and Arevalo are chasing their first team title at the grass-court major.
Arevalo and Pavic are riding an eight-match winning streak after capturing the Queen’s Club title last month. They will face seventh seeds Kevin Krawietz and Tim Puetz in the final after the Germans defeated Sadio Doumbia and Fabien Reboul 7-5, 7-6(6).

Harri Heliovaara and Henry Patten shook off a nightmare start Tuesday to seal a semi-final spot at Wimbledon.
The joint No. 1 players in the PIF ATP Doubles Rankings, Heliovaara and Patten lost the first four games of the match before rallying past eighth seeds Guido Andreozzi and Manuel Guinard 2-6, 6-4, 7-6(10-6). For the third match in a row, the Finnish-British duo notched a deciding-set tie-break win to advance to its second Wimbledon semi-final.
The 2024 champions and this year’s top seeds, Heliovaara and Patten will face singles stars Thanasi Kokkinakis and Aleksandar Kovacevic for a championship-match spot. Kokkinakis and Kovacevic upset 14th seeds Austin Krajicek and Nikola Mektic 7-6(4), 6-3 in their quarter-final.

Cash/Glasspool hold firm to keep Wimbledon title defence alive
Julian Cash and Lloyd Glasspool won a deciding-set battle on Monday to keep their title defence alive on the grass courts of Wimbledon.
The third-seeded British duo sealed a 6-3, 3-6, 7-5 victory against Petr Nouza and Neil Oberleitner at The All England Club. In doing so, Cash and Glasspool set a quarter-final showdown with sixth seeds Marcelo Arevalo and Mate Pavic.
Singles stars Thanasi Kokkinakis and Aleksandar Kovacevic also booked their last-eight berth on Monday with a 7-6(4), 7-6(5) win against Australian Open champions Christian Harrison and Neal Skupski.

Heliovaara/Patten seal return to Wimbledon QFs
Harri Heliovaara and Henry Patten continued their quest to reclaim the Wimbledon trophy on Sunday, when they came through their second consecutive final-set tie-break to reach the quarter-finals.
The top seeds and 2024 champions rallied past Adam Pavlasek and Patrik Rikl 5-7, 6-3, 7-6(10-6) in two hours, 15 minutes to improve to 11-1 as a duo at the grass-court major. They will next meet eighth seeds Guido Andreozzi and Manuel Guinard, who overcame Ray Ho and Hendrik Jebens 7-6(4), 6-4. Seventh seeds Kevin Krawietz and Tim Puetz also advanced to the quarter-finals on Sunday.

Sander Gille and Sem Verbeek stunned second seeds and recent Roland Garros champions Marcel Granollers and Horacio Zeballos 6-4, 7-6(9) on Saturday to advance to the third round at Wimbledon.
Ray Ho and Hendrik Jebens also notched an upset win by defeating 10th seeds Theo Arribage and Albano Olivetti 7-5, 7-6(4). Arribage and Olivetti arrived at Wimbledon having won five tour-level titles this season. Fourth seeds Simone Bolelli and Andrea Vavassori advanced to the third round with a commanding 6-4, 6-1 win against singles stars Jesper de Jong and Valentin Royer.

Top seeds Harri Heliovaara and Henry Patten were among the second-round winners in the men's doubles event on Friday at Wimbledon, where they dug deep to defeat Mac Kiger and Patrik Trhac 7-6(5), 6-7(3), 7-6(10-7).
Defending champions Julian Cash and Lloyd Glasspool also advanced in three sets, defeating Arthur Reymond and Corentin Moutet 4-6, 6-4, 6-4. Christian Harrison and Neal Skupski, the reigning Australian Open winners, overcame Jakub Paul and Ryan Seggerman 7-6(4), 7-6(5).

The men’s doubles first-round action continued on Thursday at Wimbledon, where second seeds Marcel Granollers and Horacio Zeballos, Belgian-Dutch duo Sander Gille and Sem Verbeek, and 10th seeds Theo Arribage and Albano Olivetti were among those to earn opening victories.
Roland Garros champions Granollers and Zeballos downed Robert Galloway and John Peers 7-6(5), 6-3, while Gille and Verbeek outlasted N.Sriram Balaji and Marcelo Demoliner 3-6, 7-6(2), 6-4.

Wednesday was the first day of men’s doubles action at Wimbledon, where nine of the 10 seeded teams in action advanced to the second round.
Top seeds Harri Heliovaara and Henry Patten led the way with a 7-5, 6-2 victory against Frenchmen Terence Atmane and Luca Sanchez. Defending champions Julian Cash and Lloyd Glasspool also moved on with a 6-3, 6-0 triumph against Mariano Navone and Adolfo Daniel Vallejo.
