Alexander Zverev and Flavio Cobolli are set to play in the Roland Garros final on Sunday, when the duo will square off for the fifth time in their Lexus ATP Head2Head series.
Zverev and Cobolli's first meeting came at the clay-court major in 2025, when the German defeated the Italian 6-2 7-6(4) 6-1 in the third round. The pair has played three more times since, with Zverev holding a 3-1 lead in their rivalry.

2025 Halle: Zverev def. Cobolli 6-4 7-6(6)
Three weeks after their third-round clash at Roland Garros, the pair crossed paths again, this time in the quarter-finals of the Terra Wortmann Open. Zverev produced a similar result as he won in straight sets to reach the last four. In the semi-finals, the German fell to Daniil Medvedev.
2026 Munich: Cobolli def. Zverev 6-3, 6-3
Zverev and Cobolli next faced each other in the semi-finals at the BMW Open by Bitpanda in May this year. Cobolli reached the last four without dropping a set and carried that momentum into his clash against Zverev, the defending champion. The Italian struck 32 winners and dropped only eight points on his first serve, according to Infosys ATP Stats, to cruise into the final, where Ben Shelton ended his run.
2026 Madrid: Zverev def. Cobolli 6-1 6-4
Eleven days after a loss on home soil in Munich, Zverev got his revenge at the Mutua Madrid Open. The pair met in the quarter-finals, where Zverev gave Cobolli few chances to find his rhythm and triumphed in 90 minutes. With the victory, Zverev became just the fourth man to reach the semi-finals at each of the first four ATP Masters 1000 events of the season since the series began in 1990, joining Roger Federer (2006), Rafael Nadal (2010, 2011) and Jannik Sinner (2026). The German eventually reached the title match, where he lost to Sinner.
